Early explorations in woodburning and painting
This collection features early explorations in woodburning and painting, where I first began to investigate form, texture, and emotional presence through florals and portraits. Working with pyrography allowed me to carve permanence into organic surfaces, while layers of acrylic paint introduced softness, color, and atmosphere. These works reflect a period of experimentation—rooted in observation, memory, and material curiosity.
From the delicate structure of petals to the expressive contours of the human face, Roots & Embers marks the beginning of my journey into themes of impermanence, transformation, and the quiet power of the natural world.
