A Fusion of Pyrography and Painted Expression

My woodburning and painted works explore the ephemeral qualities of the natural world—those fleeting moments when light, color, and form are in constant transition. By combining pyrography with oil and acrylic, I create surfaces that balance permanence and impermanence. The burned lines offer a sense of structure and history, while the soft pigments—often layered in translucent glazes—suggest movement, atmosphere, and change.

This interplay between fixed and fluid allows me to evoke dissolving forms and overlapping realities. I'm interested in how time leaves its mark, both subtly and dramatically, and how we perceive beauty in what is momentary. Each piece becomes a kind of meditation on transformation, where the physical process of burning and painting mirrors the quiet shifts unfolding in nature—and within ourselves.
