Trompe l’œil Study in Illusion and Representation
This trompe l’œil painting draws from the classical techniques I studied at Partners in Art in North Tonawanda, where I was trained in traditional methods of realism, observation, and precise rendering. An exercise in illusion, this piece invites the viewer to question the boundary between image and object, surface and substance. Through careful attention to light, texture, and detail, this piece explores the art of visual deception and the enduring appeal of likeness.
